Help test Flock AFO
Android beta
Android beta is available.
The closed beta is open to anyone aged 13 or older in the USA or Canada with a supported Android 13 or newer device and a Google Play account. You won’t need an invitation or approval from us.
Prefer to wait? That’s fine. Come back to this page later for the current status. We aren’t collecting a waitlist.
Join in three steps
Use the same Google account for both steps below and for Google Play on your phone. We’re testing the signup process too. If a step blocks you, please let us know at support@aroundfindout.com.
Join the Google Group
Sign in with the Google account you use for Google Play. In Google Groups, choose Join group and finish joining. Group membership makes that account eligible for the closed test.
Opt in on Google Play
Use that same account to open the testing page and choose to become a tester. Joining the group by itself doesn’t complete this step. Choose to become a tester on the Play testing page.
Install and try Flock AFO
After opting in, follow the testing page’s download it on Google Play link on your phone, then choose Install or Update. Use Google Play to install build 2 or newer. Updates will arrive through Google Play.
What you’ll be testing
Explore community-mapped camera records, check sources, search places, compare routes, and save cameras with private notes on your device. Core camera tools are free and unlimited.
The Android beta currently has no supporter purchases or camera alerts after the app closes. Beta software can have bugs. Community records may be incomplete or outdated; a marker doesn’t establish that a camera is operating or that a route is camera-free.
Try ordinary public places and share what worked or failed at support@aroundfindout.com. Please leave private notes, precise personal locations and account details out of reports.
Accounts, privacy and leaving
Google manages the Group, testing opt-in and app installation. Group membership is visible to the group’s owner and managers. Google handles your account information under its policies; this website has no enrollment form or email collection.
If Google Play says you aren’t eligible, check that you joined the group and opened Play with the same account. If you were an internal tester, leave that internal test before trying the closed test. Check that your Play country is the USA or Canada and your phone runs Android 13 or newer. If membership hasn’t appeared in Play yet, allow some time and try the opt-in link again with that same account.
You can leave the test on Google Play’s testing page and leave the Group through Google Groups. Leaving testing doesn’t delete app data. Saved cameras and notes are stored locally; clearing storage or uninstalling the app removes them.
